Sunshine's Cake Creations would like to play a role in sweetening your special day, whether it is your wedding,
birthday, anniversary, or just because.
Sunshine's Cake Creations was conceptualized in 1997 while Victoria Sgro-Konopka was still attending culinary
school in Philadelphia. Upon graduating from school Vikki was hired by the Ritz Carlton Hotel where she began to
form her identity as a disciplined pastry chef. Vikki then went on to work for companies like The Hotel Sofitel, and
The Westin where she put her training to use. At this time Vikki was also trained and certified by a Master Pastry
Chef from Lecole Lenotre in “Desserts de Prestige a l’assiette and Boulongerie”, (pastries and breads.)
What once was a dream took its first step towards becoming reality in 2004 when she moved to Hawaii to fulfill her
other life long dream. Having arrived in Hawaii with only two suitcases, a surfboard and money in her pocket, Vikki
began working as a pastry chef on the Marine Corps Base in Kaneohe to support her new life. Vikki also began
creating cakes on coworkers’ requests. Receiving high praises for her cakes she decided to finally turn her
culinary school concept into reality and in May 2006 Sunshine's Cake Creations officially came to life.

In just a few short years Sunshine's Cake Creations has grown from favors for friends and coworkers to a
complete business that requires more than a full time job! Vikki’s passion for cakes and a strong determination in
realizing her dreams has enabled Vikki to quickly turn a wish into her livelihood. Today you can find references
towards Sunshine’s Cake Creations all across Oahu. You can also find
Sunshine's Cake Creations products sold in Bad Ass Coffee Co located at Fort Street Mall, First Stop in Kailua
and in the Ilikai Hotel. If you are looking to find out more about our products and company we can be found
supporting Russell Tanoue and Kim Koga’s Zensation at Bonsai every first and third Wednesday. We also support
Paul Klink and Susan Yuki Francesca Ishihara's Barracuda Lounge located at Oceans Club.
At Sunshine’s Cake Creations freshness and taste are as important as the cake’s design and appearance. Only
the freshest and finest ingredients, including real butter, pure vanilla, imported chocolate and fresh fruits are used;
and the cakes are never frozen!
