SunShine’s Cake Creation’s Policies
We try to accommodate everyone and we are very flexible but unfortunately we have had some challenges in the
past and now we have certain policies we must follow.
1 - A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your order; the remainder is due no later then 21 days prior
to your event.
**Your order is not confirmed until we have received your signed contract and 50% non- refundable retainer
payment within 10 days of receiving your contract.
This means the date and time slot for your order will be given away if we do not have your payment.
2 – However, we do make exceptions so cake orders placed within 21 days of your event require payment in full by
cash at the time of ordering, on delivery or pick up.
3 -Payments can be made by cash, check or money order. Sorry we do not take credit cards.
**Any check that is returned will be subject to a $25 inconvenience fee and must be paid in cash.
4 - There is no refund on orders canceled within 14 days of the event date.
5 – We require 24 hours for tasting consultation. If we do not hear from you via phone or email your consultation
will be cancelled. We can reschedule for another day.
6 - If meeting for a tasting or a drop off we try to accommodate everyone’s needs as much as possible. We will only
wait 15 minutes past meeting time unless a courtesy phone call is made to let us know you are running late.
7 - If renting any of our items you must follow the return dates and times. If the dates and time that are listed are not
good for your return please let us know and we will change it. If we do not hear from you within the days listed we will
cash the deposit check. We have other clients who rent these items after your event.
YOU MUST RETURN THE STAND TO US IN KAILUA. We will not allow you to leave our stand at the venue any longer.
8 – Any sketch that is given through email or during a tasting must be signed off on, however when it comes time to
make the cake we have the right to change the design accordingly. We want you to have the best cake possible to fit
your style.
9 - SunShine’s Cake Creations cannot guarantee a nut free environment
10 - SunShine’s Cake Creations reserves the right to update pricing at any time and without warning, before contract
is signed.
Some questions that we are asked often.
Do you make just cakes?
No, we make a wide variety of pastries, tarts, cookies, candies and CAKES!
We have samples menus in our gallery and will be more then happy to discuss how to personalize a pastry party for
you.
How much are your cakes?
Because all of our cakes are priced individually by the complexity of their design, we do not have a standard price list.
We do not have a minimum order. We try to accommodate everyone's needs.
When Should I place my order?
This is a great question. We limit our orders so we can give high quality and good customer service to our clients.
We only take 2 cakes per weekend. So as soon as you know your looking for a cake let us know so you do not lose
the date. Because of this limited orders we book up very fast.
How do I order a cake?
**WE ASK THAT YOUR ORDER IS PLACED AT LEAST 21 DAYS BEFORE YOUR EVENT**
To start the order process, please send an email to info@sunshinescakecreations.com with the following information:
-the date of your event
-the occasion of your event (wedding, birthday, retirement, etc...)
-the event location
-time line for your event
-how many people you will need to feed
-your phone number
-your email address
-four flavors from our flavor list you would like to sample
-an idea of what kind of cake design you are looking for
**We are no longer making any other flavors but the ones we carry.**
We are open by appointment only.
Do you have stands for hire?
We have a variety of round and square stands as well as round and square tiered stands. We also have separators
and blocks. We carry chocolate fountains and water fountains.
Once we determine your cake or pastries you can look at the variety of things we offer.
There is a rental fee for each item and a separate FULLY refundable deposit that must be made. NO EXCEPTIONS.
This is to ensure a safe return of our products.
Once your event is over we will determine a day for you to return the products to our bakery. We usually allow 2-5
days for return before we cash your deposit check.
How do I use my Gift Certificate?
Please contact us for more information. GC can be used for any of our services. However GC can not be used on
black out dates or holidays.

Design/Tasting appointments are held for most, but not all, cake orders. There is a $25 tasting fee for up to 4 flavors
and 4 people. Price will be determined to add extra flavors and more people.
Do you deliver?
Yes, delivery is available for wedding cakes and cakes that require on-site assembly.
We service the whole island of Oahu and travel to other islands if needed.
We do not recommend clients self-transport cakes. Cakes that are not sensitive to transportation can be picked up
from us. However customers who choose to pickup do so at their own risk.
Fees for delivery are as follows
MCBH, Kailua, Kaneohe & Waimanalo- $30
Kaaawa to Laie, to North Shore, Haleiwa- $50
Waikele to Ewa Beach to Waianae- $50
Remaining Island Towns- $30
I have special dietary restrictions. Can you help?
We are now offering Vegan cakes and non dairy cakes. We also offer organic made cakes.
However, we do not make sugar free cakes... yet.
We cannot guarantee a nut free environment.When
